quick answer needed- haircut/color at home

My hairdresser recently left her salon. She is coming by soon today to do a haircut and color. Her prices are basically the same as they were in the salon. Would you still tip the same? I know she is coming to my house, but aside from products, she pockets everything.

Not trying to be cheap, just seeing what everyone else would do

nope, just like you usually don't tip the owner of a salon if they cut your hair. The tip is as a token of knowing they are doing all th ework and someone else is getting most of the profit, if she is charging you more than $40, I say that is all she gets

I pay more for the person to come to my home than I did at the salon. I tip a little less b/c of that but I still tip. I'd also base it a little bit on how far out of their way they have to go and how much time it takes.
