Quick CIO question
My DD is just a little over 4 mo. I do think that she is probably too young for CIO, but I wanted to know what others think.
Putting her to bed and down for naps has always been easy. We always put her down awake and she falls asleep on her own. She has always slept in her crib. No issues.
For the past few days, she has been fighting going down for naps and sleep. I mean, screaming...like she's having a temper tantrum. I have to keep going in and trying to give her the paci. She fights that as well.
She has started doing some new things, so I thought maybe that could be throwing her off. We also just tried to go back to original formula this past week (long story), but now she is back on the Nutramagen.
What do you think? When is it appropriate to do CIO?

Re: Quick CIO question
I personally think she's too young. I also think it sounds like something else is going on with her. You'll find that she'll go through phases where something might be bothering her, or she might hit a milestone, etc., where her typical sleep habits get put on hold. Just ride it out a little and see how it goes. I am a huge CIO advocate, but I still think 4 mo might be a tad too young. Hang in there!

Re: Quick CIO question
My baby started sleeping less during the around that time. I've never really stressed naptime. They usually fall asleep when they've had enough
