Quick q if your child has slept in the pack in play (not the basinett part)

We have the graco one that has the basinett attachment for when they are younger if that makes a difference.

DS has never slept in it but we want him to tomorrow. He is almost 16 mos. It feels VERY hard to me. Is there something i should have bought to put in it or is this the way it is and its fine? TIA!

There is a quilted mattress pad (I believe that's what it's called) that they sell at BRU for the PNP.

My son never really slept in the PNP but I know plenty of babies who did - If you can't get to BRU I'm sure it will be just fine! Chat Icon

DS has slept on the "mattress" pad that comes with the pack and play on occasion and he's been just fine. I've actually found he sleeps better on vacation sometimes in the PNP. I don't know if it's the firmness or if he's just tuckered out from vacation fun.

DD has slept in it also with no problems but you can buy a mattress for it at Babies R US....It's like 20 bucks and probably 2 inches thick so a bit more comfy...

Ditto all the way around! DS has slept in PNPs on three vacations and we've never had a problem!

My mom has a pack and play at her house and my DC have always slept better in it - go figure.

Oh he'll be just fine in the PNP.

The firmness doesnt seem to bother them at all. DS has slept in it just fine. And his crib mattress is relatively soft as far as crib mattresses go.

DD sleeps extremely well in her PNP. That's actually the game plan for tonight since we are not getting to my MIL's until 7, and DD is usually in bed by 8ish, the absolute latest.

We've used it a lot, just with the mattress and the little sheet and she sleeps really well in it.

I stick a blanket under the sheet over the PNP pad..it makes it a little more soft.. the matress is very large to bring with you.. we have it at my inlaws because we need 2 places for the boys to sleep.. and the mattress was cheaper than another crib

We have never gotten the extra mattress - DD isn't a fan of the pack n play but she has no problems napping on the graco on at grandma and grandpas, and had no issues sleeping on the one at WDW - and she just slept on the one that comes with the pack n play.
