Quick question about formula storage
My daughter is 4 weeks old. Sometimes she falls asleep during feedings. Can I refridurate the remaining formula in the bottle (replace with a fresh nipple) or do I have to throw it out??? I find that I'm wasting alot of formula because she tends to fall asleep during her afternoon feedings. I'm sure she will be awake in an hour screaming that shes hungry.
Thanks!

Re: Quick question about formula storage
It does need to be thrown out. Try smaller bottles in the afternoon. Without being eaten it can last in the fridge for 24 hours. So make lots of 2 oz bottles and be ready with a second one if necessary.

I toss out. If you notice she leaves a certain amt left every time, reduce the dosage you give her and then when she wakes up give her the rest.
I was told the formula is no good after 2 hours once it comes in contact with saliva.

Re: Quick question about formula storage
formula is no good after 2 hours once it's heated/used. if you find her falling asleep during feedings try to reduce the amout of formula so you're not wasting any. If she's still hungry during the feeding you can easily grab a second small bottle if necessary and not have to worry about wasting too much formula.

I was told the same.
