quick sleep sack question

I'm trying to reuse my DD#1's clothes as much as possible, but she was 7.4 and 20 inches at birth and my new little one was a petite 5.11 and 18 inches. Anyway, I don't have many newborn size sleep sacks and was wondering if there is any harm in using the small size (which start at 10 lbs) sleep sacks as I have more of them then I do NB size. Thoughts?

I agree..it's worth a try to see how it will fit.

Exactly as they said above. Just make sure that it's not too big that it can cover the face. I highly doubt a few pounds will make the difference.

Cool - I was actually concerned about this very thing... she's much smaller than DD and moves around a lot more - guess she doesn't have the same center of gravity to keep her in place when she's kicking and fussing. I as concerned about the sack covering her face - I'll try it out. A friend said she had some NB sacks she can give me now that her baby's bigger - so that could help too. Gotta watch the wallet these days so every little reuse helps Chat Icon

I think you are totally fine with the small size. DS lived in them when he was born. When he got too big for his NB size, I still used them for a bit because I liked them so much. I was unable to zip up his feet so it would look like he had a cape on. Far better for the sleep sack to be slightly big than slightly small!
