Radon in Granite?
Has anyone ever heard of this? My mom just said she heard it somewhere. From my memory of Chemistry I don't think radon is good

yes, I have heard of it. If the Granite has radon I would rip it out. I recall hearing that prolonged radon exposure can cause cancer.

i believe it releases more of it when you put a hot pan / pot on it... the heat activates it more.
i read a whole article on it, and this was all that i retained...
i don't think i'll do granite if i ever re-design a kitchen. there are other products out there that are just as beautiful (obviously fake though...)

I think it's only an issue in some types of granite, not all granite.
