I work in St James, we had thunder about 2 hours ago, no rain....a few miles away in Setauket area, it rained...weird

I saw on the news Melville and Plainview had trees knocked down it was so bad there but it didn't do anything here

OMG...at work in Melville..it looked like a hurricane hit! The parking lot half flooded out..I'd say at least an inch of rain in like an hour/hour and a half. And the wind was smashing up against the building....We are on the 3rd floor and the windows were rattling..
Im in Lindenhurst now and its been severly thundering for about 1/2 hr, but just some drizzles.
But before was SCARY....
