Rainbow Cookie Cake question...
I am going to make a rainbow cookie cake for Sunday. My husband and I are hosting for the first time ..and of course I am panicking. I have so much to do and make and I was hoping to make this in advance. How many days in advance is ok? On the recipe it says she has made it up to 3 days in advance and thinks it tastes better because the jam soaks into the cake...anyone have experience witht his??
Thanks ladies!

Re: Rainbow Cookie Cake question...
I made the cake the night before so no experience with that, but I have made the cookies ahead and they are fine-just make sure you cover it well. I also would suggest using gel food colors fo brightness unless you wan the pastel look for Easter

I too made the cake the night before. . . . I have a glass cake dome that I kept the cake in - it JUST fit!

Re: Rainbow Cookie Cake question...
So I made it and I think it might actually be good! DH went to BBB and got me a cake carrier (he's so good.) and it is all put together in a cool place. I will put it in the refrigerator tonight! I can't wait to see it in action! lol
Thanks for your help ladies!
