Ralph Lauren Suede Paint
Has anyone used this paint?
DH bought this to paint our living room with - the only thing is it did not come out as nice as we thought - looks more like a bad "sponging" job gone wrong...so he is repainting as I type...
Wondering what he did wrong...he applied the second coat in the "x" formation...I think maybe he waited to long in between coats to do this...
Any feedback or tips???

DH did this in our basement. It looks awesome. He did do the "x" stroke as well. Did he do the "x" stroke in small squares? DH found a video on the RL web site w/ directions on how to apply.

Not too sure how he applied the "x" strokes...it just didn'tlook right...in any case he ended up just painting over it with YET another coat of the paint...it looks 10x's better than it did...Thank you though

We used it in our bedroom and I think we have to redo a few areas because it looks very sloppy.

Yes. I found that if there were certain spots on the sheetrock that were more absorbant (which can happen if you paint over another colour) then there was a weird light blotchiness. A friend of mine, who also helped me paint my room with it, used it in their hall & LR on fresh sheetrock & had no problems.
Solution: I hung a picture over the bad spot.

Re: Ralph Lauren Suede Paint
I did it in my bedroom and I think it came out well. For the second coat - what we did was Dh painted on the paint regularly and I followed him and X'ed it off. We did this rather than X'ing on like the directions say to. Some advice from someone who did this. I think that it was pretty easy.
Edited to add pictures corner of the side of the room - hard tos ee the effect in pictures
The main part of the bedroom... - don't mind the unmatching stuff and undecorating room...this was like 3 years ago when we first finished painting...
