Ran my first race!!!!!!!
I did my first race today! A 4 mile run in Central Park. I've been battling a couple injuries and actually didn't run at all this week because of a bad strain to my Achilles tendon so I was very nervous.
I did it 41 minutes - I had guessed a 10:30 pace when I signed up and I beat that so I'm pleased. I really wanted to make it in 40 minutes but I KNOW I didn't push myself because I was worried about my leg.
I'm really happy. I love it and I love running and my next goal is to train for a 10k - as long as I can manage these injuries.
Biggggg thank you to RacheK who ran with me and kept me going!!! You're the best race buddy!!

Yay! You are so cute! I was about to come on here to post the same but you beat me to it!
It was fun pacing you but I now know I can DEFINITELY push you harder next time!
