Random pee stick question

can you reuse a pregnancy test if you have used it once and accidentally OD'ed on pee- thusly dousing said test? Can you wait for it to dry, and try try again? BC it has no result on it.

Obviously I am asking for someone else.

if the test never showed a control line then yes, it's still usable.

Re: Random pee stick question

No, it can not be reused. The test results would be questionable either way. I would tell your friend to just buy another one.

did it have a result at all? b/c digitals only hold their results for 24 hours.

if there was any result - neg or positive - then it can't be re-used even if "dry"

If it is a digital test and it has been taken apart, I really wouldn't use it. If your friend receives a positive result, would she trust it? If she receives a negative result, would she trust that? Either way, I would say buy a cheapo test and go from there.

but it seems shes asking if the digital reader can be reused, so I told her yes.

If it is a digital test and it has been taken apart, I really wouldn't use it.

It's actually a 2 pack, with one digital casing, and two test strips- it's meant to be taken apart and reused. She is just a crazy sloppy peer and soaked the whole test I guess.
I told her- this is n't a golden shower on your hubby- this is a delicate piece of machinery- try to contain your enthusiasm.

nope. these tests are indestructable!! if she peed "too much" and nothing happened it just means that she didn't get enough pee on the test to get any result at all.

i agree with superkat - too many variables here. buy your poor friend a new digital test!

Re: Random pee stick question

Dude, chip in and buy her a new frickin test if she doesn't have the $ to spend...if she can't buy a new test, how is she going to afford a kid?

Sorry, I ODed on the b1tch pills this morning. I think it is because I was unpleasantly surprised when I weighed myself.

Oh, I know. I would totally pull her leg on this one too. I just have strong feelings about this particular subject. I just don't want to get my own pregnancy hormones rushing. Chat Icon
