Random poll - were you early or late with your first pregnancy?

I was wondering how this poll would turn out on here....knowing the old wives' tale that for the first child, women tend to deliver 'late.'

So, my question is, when you went into labor, were you early or late?

Right on time! As if! My water was starting leaking on a friday night, went into the hospital saturday afternoon, sunday morning (due date) ended up having a c/s.

8 days later with NO progress at all. I was induced....2 times bc DS REALLY didn't want to come out

And I slept through most of my labor. I woke up at 5 am with some pain, took a shower, called the doc. Got to the hospital at about 630 or so. I was already over 6 cm dialted! Seamus was born at 930 am exactly! The epidural didnt even have time to take effect. I think it took 6 pushes to get him out!

I was induced the day before my due date and gave birth on my actual due date.

Woke up at 5:30 with my showing. Went downstairs and went on the computer, took a shower at 6:30 and woke my husband & aunt (who was staying with us for the birth- she lives in england) up. We left at 8am for my regular appointment at 8:45. When we got there, i was already 4 cm's. We went straight to the hospital and i was 6 cm's then. Had an epidural at 8cm and was 10cm a 1/2 hour later. Had to wait for it wear off though, which took the longest. Jacen was born at 2:31pm that day.

Matthew was born on his due date 12/30. I saw the doc the morning of the 29th and had not even dilated yet. I was super ****** because I was so beyond being pregnant anymore.

Anyways, I went home, ate some leftovers for lunch, then started having stomach pains and was pooping a lot which I thought was a bad reaction to my lunch. As the hours went on though, it was clear I was in labor because I started to have a lot of painful contractions. (You'll know because they come so fast and it gets to the point where you can't talk and everyone around you is annoying you).

We left for the hospital around 7PM and I was 6CM dilated!!! They gave me an epi and he was born at 12:03AM!!!

The hospital staff had said he would've come quicker probably if I didn't get the epi but oh well!! It was heaven having the drugs!!!

Wow... these are surprising results. I thought most people delivered late with their first. Interesting.

2 weeks early due to preeclampsia.

Right around my due date, it was either one or two days early or on due date. I remember I had my 40th week "last" Dr. appointment scheduled for that day.

5 days late...was not induced.

I went into labor 4 days after my Due date, so late.

5 days late, water broke at 12:30 went to the hospital doctor started me on pitocin DD was born at 10:21 that night.

5 days late! Went into labor the night I had an internal exam done!

I was one week late.

One week late (no progress), but they did a c-section, so who knows how long he would have been in there!
