Random question: How many different jobs have you had?

I have had several careers in my life so far.

I was a hairdresser
I was a bartender/bar manager
I worked in Magazine Publishing (Marketing and Production)

I want to go to Law School when Baby G gets a little older for Media Law.

Babysitter for the Devil's Spawn

Worked in a children's party place with rose825 (Pauline). Dressed up as various characters and frolicked in a ball pit.

Dance in the window of Mandees in Ozone Park dressed as a Chrsitmas present.

Taught dancing school

Telemarketer for 1 day. Was fired for leaving obsenities on people's answering machines.




Assistant manager of a Dollar Store. My husband was my boss (that's where we met- 16 years ago ).

2nd grade teacher in Queens for almost 7 years.

Currently- SAHM.

Currently- own Party favor home business...See ad on right of screen------->

I'm sure there's more. I've done a LOT in 34 years.

While in HS, I worked summers only slinging burgers at a pool concession stand. Loved that job!

After college, grad school, Same job - Chemical/Environmental Engineer - but 3 different companies.

I am a SAHM now and work PT.

I like to have like 15 jobs at once so I have alot... Here I go-in no order of course...

Hmm let's see..

Pre-professional:
1) babysitting

2) worked at a kid's party place

3) worked at a pharmacy - 2 diff ones..

4) worked at old navy

5) worked at a dr's office as a receptionist - that was the best..

Professional:

1) Sales Asst at a major investment bank - hated it

2) HR Asst, HR Coordinator, HR Associate, HR Generalist, HR Manager and now Employment Specialist

Suffolk County Parks Dept - maintenance (cleaning up the park grounds, riding on the back of the garbage truck emptying garbage cans, etc)

Suffolk County Park Police - switched from maintenance crew to setting up and maintaining the Park Police computer system

Defense Contractor (first full-time job) - Software Engineer, writing applications

Networking company - maintaining computer network for small start-up company

Defense Contractor (different company than other Defense Contractor) - maintaining Engineering applications across multiple states

As you can see, I've never strayed far from my love of computers.

Worked as a counter girl/waitress in a pizzaria

Sales/Jewelry chick at Consumers

Receptionist at a Church

Director of a Children's Choir

Executive Assistant

Marketing Director

If so - in no particular order

Lifeguard
Intern in HR for large bank
Telemarketer (sort of) - lasted 1 day
Retail at Stern's
Summer camp counselor
Job Development Specialist for the handicapped and Work First mothers
Admin Assistant for non-profit
Horseback riding instructor / horse trainer (did this for many years)
Legal assistant (during law school)
Lawyer (now)

And let's just say that list probably isn't done yet...

I have only worked for 3 different companies.

K - Mart - In high school. Started as a cashier, then moved on the Customer Service and Layaway.

DOTS - In College - Assistant Manager

Left DOTS to work for the company I'm working for now (five years) and I have have worked in three different depts in those five years.

Hmmm....

In high school I was a Dental Assistant for 1 day - I quit because I almost heaved when I saw a tooth extraction.

I worked the Jewely counter at K-Mart in Fresh Meadows in HS.

I was a customer service rep, inventory specialist and manager at almost every Verizon Wireless in Manhattan.

Paralegal at a top Law Firm.

Now I'm an In-House Paralegal.

Worked as a Life Guard during the Summers while in college

Worked in the Fashion District in the City for Juniors sizes

Worked for a Pre shipment company for exports going to South American countries.

Worked for 9 west and Fisher Comuto (still love shoes)

Then now my current job 16 + years at Building Supply place. IT Dept.
