If i could i would make a right, u-turn, then another right. If not, then i would wait it out.... Although I dont find myself on the road, alone, too often at 3am. If I did, my answer might be different.

No way! The last thing I want is to be pulled over by a cop in the middle of the night when I'm by myself. I would be freaking out.

I've done that myself on occasion. I wouldn't go through a red light, though. The cop issue is one reason, the other is that even though I think nobody is coming, if someone comes barreling through their green light and hits me, I'll be at fault for going through the red. (Besides the fact that I don't want to be in an accident in the first place....)

Normally, no.
But I have done it twice:
Once when I sat at the light for over 10 minutes. I decided it was broken.
Once when I was in a not-so-nice neighborhood. There were some shady people standing around and I was by myself.
I decided to go through it because I probably would have welcomed the police escort!
