Rapid weight loss
So I gave birth appx. a week and a half ago and I have lost about 25 from the total 35 lbs. pregnancy weight gain...can this be bc I am breastfeeding? I got on the scale this morning and couldn't believe it!

A lot of the weight we gain is fluid which we lose in the first two weeks.

I don't think it is uncommon. I gained 18lbs during my pregnancy and 2 weeks after giving birth I had lost 23lbs.

I lost 25 lbs in the first 2 weeks...the other 25 I gained (yes I gained 50 lbs while pregnant) is still hanging on for dear life

I was at my pre-pregnancy weight when I left the hospital - and down 10 lbs by the next week - I am currently about 14 lbs under my pre-pregnancy weight - (I have to lose weight however - just not the baby weight) - My OB told me I only gained water and lbs that are the baby. - So far I don't think EBF has done anything to help with my weight - but who knows.

Im right there with you! I've lost 30 lbs since I gave birth! I only gained 15lbs- so I am down 15 from my pre-preggo weight.

Totally normal.... I gained 54 (yikes.... the baby loved her Big Macs)....
After 2 weeks I was down 25 lbs and now, 11 weeks, I'm down 42.....
The breastfeeding definately helps alot... my doctor said it burns approx. 300 calories/day......

This has been me also. I gained 40 lbs and lost 15 right away. When I went back to work at 11 wks pp I lost another 10 lbs. That last 15 lbs is hanging on for dear life  Oh, and my weight was up to begin with when I got PG, so I really need to loose like another 25 lbs. 
My mom BFed my sister and me. She said that she had 10 lbs that hung around while she BFed and that she lost after she stopped.

I gained 28 from PG. I lost 18 in the first couple weeks. Then nothing until 5-6 months. In the 3 months since then I lost 20 lbs. I think that last 20lbs is from BFing...

Oddly, the 25 lbs I gained while pregnant melted off, likely because of breast feeding. I got to the EXACT number I was pre-preg and the scale did not budge! I read that breastfeeding burns up to 500 extra calories a day.

I wonder...I gained 22lbs total while preggo and have lost 18. I lost that by 2 weeks also. I think its b/c all the xtra fluids you have while preggo.
But I'm now 4 weeks pp and I can't seem to lose the last 4...granted, I havent worked out much at all. I know I still have extra skin on my belly and that my boobs have extra fluids from BFing...but mentally I still cant get past having that extra 4lbs!!!
I'm not sure if the BFing helped or not
