rash experts needed!

ds has had the same rash for over 6 weeks! it's not aweful but it gets a bit better and than comes back in exactly the same spots. there is one strip of pink/red between his belly button area and his boy parts and there are 2 little round spots by his tush area.

i've tried every cream known to man kind (from ridculously expensive to cheap.) globs of desitin seems to work best but it still comes back. know i'm using vusion (prescription stuff) but it is only getting worse.

what is this?

could it be an allergy to his huggies nite diapers? (he got the rash the same time as i started using these but i need to use them b/c he'll leak out of everything else.)

any ideas? tips?

It could be a fungal rash. Is it spotty? Like little spots and blotches or is it blisters? If it's spots then it could definately be a fungal rash. I would call the ped. and he can give you a cream such as Nystatin.

It's hard to say without seeing it.

Eczema will go away and come back, but you will usually find it in the creases of arms and legs - My DD's also get it on other parts - such as the cheeks, and back.

If the precription cream isn't helping I would take DC to a pediatric dermatologist.
