Rash on DD (with pic)
DD has this weird rash right where her belly meets her crotch area. Has anyone seen anything like this before? She also has a rash on her face, but I think that's ezcema (or from teething) that is completely unrelated. We have her 9 month check up on Thursday so I will obviously ask about it then.

That also looks a bit like excema to me ( my DS had it on his face, but from time to time it would be on his belly) ....Has she tried any new foods or anything ??

No, not that I can remember!!  Everything has pretty much been the same. Her face has similar spots (not the same though). Does eczema show up randomly like that - I figured there would be more dots - it's just that one isolated spot!

Is there 2? I see another by her belly button. I would like to say eczema BUT they are perfect circles. My guesses would be eczema or ring worm.

See I totally thought it looked like ring worm, too! And yes, there is another small one by her stomach. Could that be what's on her face, too?!?!

The one below looks like ringworm to me, but her face does not DD#1 had ringworm 3 times last year.

I think it is eczema but I would double check with the Dr. Sometimes ringworm and eczema look similar.

My DS would get "patches" randomly...No experience with ring worm though

I was going to wait until Thursday for her 9 month check up, but maybe I'll call the ped first thing in the morning - don't want to wait if it's a bacterial infection.

I think it is all eczema. DS gets circles like that in his hiney. Also when I took him to the doctor the nurse was alramed at first too thinking it was ringworm but it wasn't...just eczema (thank heavens).
DS has bad eczema from milk protein which we got under control with his formula but now that it has been cold out, it is back pretty bad. Maybe it is from the cold?

Could be! But would it show up in her diaper area from the cold?
And how can they tell the difference between ringworm and eczema if they look so similar?

I think the whole thing looks like ringworm. Do you have outdoor cats? i have no specific experience with it other then seeing it once on a child I babysat for. I am going to bet its eczema though since the usual outbreaks are during the winter months.

Nope, no outdoor cats, just a dog who rarely goes outside  I'm calling the ped first thing in the morning to try and get an appointment!

You know, it's probably TWO different conditions - eczema on the face and some type of fungus in the diaper area! I just love how I am trying to diagnose my poor baby!! Hopefully the doc will give me some answers tomorrow
