Rash on face and behind ears...
DD just started breaking out in a rash on her face and behind her ears. I don't notice it anywhere else.
Do you think that could be from trying applesauce for the first time? or her cereal? Or do you think its just from saliva?
THANKS

If it is only on her face and back of her ears, I would say it is just from saliva. If she was allergic I would think the rash would be all over her body.

Depends...Molly seems to always have a reddish rash on her cheeks, but I know it is from her droolling while she sleeps and then putting her cheek in it.

yes she's on a new medication and the poor thing is red and raw on her tush. I feel so bad. I keep globbing on the aquaphor and diaper rash cream. I can't wait for this all to be over.

Re: Rash on face and behind ears...
When Sara was put on augmentine, she broke out into a rash, it started out slowly but eventually went everywhere. Dr. said to stop the medicine and once we did that it cleared up, so she dosen't get that anymore.

Re: Rash on face and behind ears...
It could be the medicine - if it is an allergic reaction the dr. told me it won't just stay on her face. My DD had a rash in the exact same places and nowhere else and it turned out to be seborreheic dermatitis (like cradle cap) and it cleared up immediately with hydrocortisone the dr. ordered.
Hope it clears up soon!!

Re: Rash on face and behind ears...
Is she on an antibiotic? If so, try a probiotic capsule of Acodophillus and mix it in her formula or rice cereal. This works wonders when DD is on an antibiotic. HTH

Yes she is on Augmentin and I am using Acodophillus to help with the loose stools. She still has loose stools, awful diaper rash and a rash on her face and ears (the face and ears is not severe)
I'm only giving it to her once a day, should I be giving her more than that?
