I had posted a while back about our yellow lab puppy and I was completely overwhelmed with her hyperness, being the primary trainer for her, working overnights, and being pregnant.. what a combo...Chat Icon

We left our little yellow lab (5 months old) at a kennel for a few days while we went on our 'baby moon' and when we came back the owner of the kennel told us 'take this lady's information - she will definitely help you out with the obedience'.. Chat Icon She apparently could show off how badly she was lacking in the obedience department...

So DH & I set up an appt with Cindy from First Command Dog Training.. We had our first session on Tuesday, I have to say, with the proper tools that Cindy gave us, she is shaping up to be pretty good (it has only been Tuesday and Wednesday of us training with her so far) - But I wanted DH there with me so we are both using the commands the same, etc.

Cindy was not only patient with us, but listened to our concerns and worked with us to correct her current issues (Plus next training session she is bringing a babydoll that cries so we can try to socialize her to what is to come when the baby gets here) - Cindy had her sitting, heeling, 'leave it', 'say hello', 'off', within the hour that she was with us.

DH and I have been doing a 30 minute session with the puppy each daily (so a total of an hour) for the last two days and I can already see an improvement.

I have to say if you are going to spend the money for training your dog, then I would absolutely check her out, I have to say, without having had her at our house, I would still be comtemplating re-homing our puppy, but I do see a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to obedience. FM me if you need any other info...
