Bizarre Update
So, as you know, this past Tuesday they didn't see any further development from the week before and while my hcg levels rose they weren't doubling and are not has high as they should be.
My D&C was scheduled for today. I'm in the OR ready to go and they knock me out. Apparently, while I was knocked out, they did an u/s and saw a fetal pole with a heartbeat so they did not know do a D&C.
While this sounds good, based on all my levels, the doctor thinks that there still is a 98% chance that this PG is not viable and/or that there is something very wrong with the fetus.
I cannot believe that this has happened and that I am in limbo for possibly a few more weeks!!!!

I for one am praying. I am so sorry you are going through this. I dont know what your levels are but I can tell you that my numbers are STILL not as high as they should be. I know that at a certain point your numbers level off and stop doubling. I know how it feels to be in limbo and I am so sorry you are there. Hang in there

Glad they did the U/S too! Well, i am praying very hard for you!!! So, far its a miracle and I am sorry for all the stress.

Thanks for all the support! I am still in shock. I also am kind of pizzed that they knocked me out before they did the u/s, but I think that what happened today is pretty rare!
I am going back to work on Monday and will just take it one day at a time. I am going for another u/s next Thursdsay.
I already feel like I prepared myself for the bad news so I can handle it! But, I am still praying that we are somehow in the 2% where nothing is wrong!!!

I have never heard of a story like this and almost can't believe it. I can't believe how you must have reacted waking up and hearing this. OMG.
I pray this is the start of a great story and a fantastic journey.

WOW! That is amazing! I really really hope this is going to work out and the doctor is just being negative. You just don't know.
I'm so so glad they did another sono before the actual procedure. It is truly amazing. You've got a little fighter there!!!!
