Re: Re-glazing of bathroom tiles and tubs
a friend of mine had it done. it looks good but I know she wasnt very satisfied with it. I think its because she had it done during the summer...and it was humid out...it took a full 4 days for it to dry completly before she could use the bathroom. Also the guy touched the surface and had to come back and fix the screw up. (she is in NJ so I dont think you will get her guy! )
I do suggest asking, when you get someone if the humidity will make the tub take longer to dry.

Re: Re-glazing of bathroom tiles and tubs
I had this done in my smaller condo when I had it and I would NOT recommend doing this.
You are essentially painting the tub and tile, meaning it can chip and scratch very easily. I did this and while it was a good short term fix, I would never do this in a single family home that I owned.
If you own the property and want a makeover, I would just look into doing a full renovation.
You would be much happier in the long run.

Re: Re-glazing of bathroom tiles and tubs
I did this. Reglazed all my tiles and my tub. Came out great. Not as durable as new tile of course, you do have to be careful in how you treat it. Does chip, and you can't use certain products on it, or lay towels or rest items on it. But looks great for a lot less than if we remodeled our bathroom entirely. We plan to move so for us it was worth it. If I planned to stay, I would not have done it though. To me it's just temporary, not a lifetime finish at all. And mine took weeks to fully dry, it was ridiculous. Probably b/c I had so much done.
I will FM you the rec if you want.

Re: Re-glazing of bathroom tiles and tubs
We did it in our old home and only because we were selling it and we were looking for a quick fix. I wouldn't have it done it if I was going to live their for a long time. It came out nice but you have to be careful because it chips so easly. I had dropped a bottle of shampoo that didn't have any corners and it left a small chip.
