RE meeting tomorrow
So I'm meeting with my RE tomorrow regarding my failed FET. I'm at Cornell and I've been unexplained for 3.5 years...nothing has worked including IUIs with clomid, a fresh IVF transfer and a FET. How can I push my RE to do immune testing when Cornell really doesn't believe in immune testing?
Or am I jumping the gun? I know some people take more than one IVF to get pg but it's been so long that I've been TTC and not even a miscarriage during that time. Not one single pregnancy. Yet all my and DH's numbers are great.
Any thoughts?

Re: RE meeting tomorrow
If I were to want immune testing or anything my doctor didn't do/ believe in, my next step would be to go to an RE that does believe in and works with it daily.
I hope the next try works for you!!!

RE meeting tomorrow
I should of gotten immune testing sooner. I wasted time and money with a RE who didn't believe in immune issues and was labeled unexplained. I just knew something was there we weren't finding. Went to a new RE for immune testing and found an immune issue. I would absolutely tell them you want natural killer cells tested and dq alpha. Some REs even do more tests but those were the ones I got done. I had success with using immune meds and IVF.
If you are questioning it then its probably time for a second opinion. GL

Re: RE meeting tomorrow
I remember consulting with Cornell; with Dr. Kang; whom by the way; was so completely sweet.
But I know she did not believe in Immune testing.
I would make an appointment with SIRM; either Dr. Tortoriello or any doctor there; since I know the waiting time to see him could be a few months.
At your consult; they will then give you a script for a ton of bloodwork; and hopefully you will get an answer. Then you can make your decision from there.
GL!

RE meeting tomorrow
Thanks to everyone. My RE said that we can tests for immune issues and clotting, which we did. He said normally women who have these issues have recurrent miscarriages and they usually reserve the tests for them- I have the inability to get pg even with good quality day 5 blasts, so it's worth the test. He also suggested I can get tested for endometriosis but this is a laparoscopy. I have no symptoms of endometriosis so I have to consider this.

I never got pregnant on my own or with 6 IUIs. With IVFs I had BFN and 2 very early chemicals. Then with the immune meds finally a real BFP. I also had no symptoms of endo but asked for the biopsy to rule anything out and it came back negative. I'm glad you will test for the immune issues.
