RE questions
I started looking into RE's and was wondering A. did you all get a referal before you went and B. I live in Rockland County but work in Manhattan. I start work at 8:00am. Would you look for an dr closer to work or closer to home? Thanks!

Re: RE questions
I would ask on IF, those ladies will know exactly how often you have to go.

Re: RE questions
From experience, I would look for a RE that is closer to work especially since once you start cycling (depending on your IF issues), you can be having to go for morning monitoring multiple times per week. Alot of REs do their monitoring early mornings (mine was 6:00am-7:30am)
As far as needing a referral, you should check with your insurance. I didn't need one.

Re: RE questions
closer to work- I live on LI and work in the city and go to RMA of NY- they are on madison and 60th. They are great, busy office but very efficient. they monitor b/w 7:30 and 9, so if you get there at 7:30 and you should be good.
the first apptmt is usually during the day though and if you have any procedures done, it's during the day so it's much easier to get back to work if you go to a doc in the city.
good luck!

ITA - except I did need a referral with my insurance plan.
Depending on what kind of treatment you start, you may need to go in up to 4x/week for bloodwork. Mine opens at 7am and is 15 minutes from work, so I am here by 7:30 on days where I need bloodwork and I go back after work for days I need sonos.
