reaction to lymes shot?
Okay so jedi got his lymes shot yesterday and he has been acting very odd. Last night he didn't want to do anything except lay around. Than when my husband went to pet him, Jedi went to bite him and he yelped. So we figured out that where steve was going to pet him, was where he got his shot.
Then about 2 am, he was crying and yelping like i've never heard him do before. When steve took him to go the bathroom, he was shaking. This morning, all he wants to do is lay around. He looks so sad. Plus he's been shaking all morning.
Should i call the vet? Is this a reaction to the shot?

Re: reaction to lymes shot?
It could be, or the injection site might be sore.
Call the vet.

Re: reaction to lymes shot?
I would call the vet, Bella had her shot 2 weeks ago, and she didn't have any side affects. How old is your dog?

5 1/2 months old.
I called the vet and he said that it happens with small dogs sometimes. As long as he's eating and drinking, than he's okay. He suggested giving him half a tablet of Bufferin, which we did. Ever since... he seems almost back to normal.
