Really Good (from scratch) Cake Recipes?
I like to bake, but when it comes to cakes, I usually use a box only because I tried a from scratch recipe a while back and it was dry and really didn't taste like cake.
I need a good recipe, I'm not stuck on a flavor it could be butter, chocolate, red velvet, banana...

This is a good one. I have made abt 5 so far (for parties etc) and it came out great !
Melted Ice Cream Cake
It’s easy and starts with a cake mix (golden vanilla) and a pint of your favorite ice cream. You can use any flavor combination you want. I chose the always reliable combination of vanilla cake and dulce de leche ice cream Let your ice cream sit on the counter for a bit. He needs to loosen up. Then prepare the cake according to the box directions BUT omit the water and sub in the melty ice cream. The entire pint. Then bake it upin bundt pan Grease it and fill it and bake it…just follow the bake times on the box. When it’s baked and cooled…you can eat it. OR you can glaze it or frost it. Do whatever you want. Glaze 1/4 cup milk 2 cups powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla In medium saucepan combine ingredients with a whisk over low heat. Stir until glaze is smooth. Poke toothpick holes on top of came and Pour over cake. Cover it all! Let it set…it won’t take long. Then you can eat. Possible also give it a little drizzle with dulce de leche…And serve with whipped cream (if you didnot already use frosting)….DELISSSHHH

Melted Ice Cream Cake
That sounds interesting!
Have you ever done strawberry or chocolate? Does it have to be a bunt pan?

I second this.
And if you make the Hershey's vanilla buttercream frosting and put that on it and on a layer, it's like eating an oreo cookie.

Re: Really Good (from scratch) Cake Recipes?
I really liked this simple white cake recipe from allrecipes.com. It was really flavorful and moist. It's my go-to for plain vanilla cake.
Link.
