Really need advice...Does this seem like a normal schedule for a 9 week old?

I'm a bit concerned...

He slept last night from 12:30 - 5:30am and then from 6:30am to 10:30am (so pretty much 9 hours). Since then, he's had 3 half hour naps and now at 11:30pm is still up and kicking around.

He's not fussy...just awake. He's been fed, swaddled (hates that), pooped, burped, bathed and everything else I could think of.

I just don't think he's getting enough sleep.

Also, he eats in weird ways. He'll have 4 ozs be done for an hour and then needs 2 more ounces but he'll never take 6 ounces all at once. This goes on all day. We have absolutely no schedule whatsoever!

Sounds normal. He will work his schedule out. At least that's what my DD did. Hang in there Mommy! You're doing a great job. Just follow his lead! Congratulations! He's gorgeous!!

We are only now @ 12 weeks developing sort of a schedule...and believe me, it's a very loose schedule.

My DS also doesn't like to eat all at once...he likes to eat small, frequent meals.

I wouldn't worry. In a few weeks, he should start to put himself on a schedule..hang in there!
