Really silly question about finger foods
Right, so in England we all give our kids rice cakes as their first sort of finger food. Organix brand does some that are dipped in apple and cinnamon and also orange flavored. When I came to the states, no one gave their kids rice cakes...what do you give your kids for their first sort of finger food???
I always feel slightly guilty when we are out at a cafe and we are all eating chocolate cake and our babies look on longingly and we hand them the dreaded RICE CAKES but the babies LOVE them, so I guess its all good!

Initially, the gerber puffs and cheerios. But, Nate likes rice cakes.... DH buys the bite sized carmel ones

First it was Cheerios and Gerber puff's, but Julia does have rice cakes when I do buy them, she loves the cheddar ones.

Now I have a question...
So when you give them the rice cakes, you break them up into small pieces & feed it to them like that?
Or do you give it whole & just watch them like a hawk?
I'm assuming it's #1.

I gave rice cakes after puffs. HUGE HIT! But I gave her big pieces and watched her like a hawk.

They are little rice cakes, like the size of a 50 cent coin type thing...little ones!

What ever happened to those cookies they used to give babies that were big and thick so that they can suck on them and chew on them forever and they still don't break down?
