really stumped on what to get my 7 almost 8 year old for christmas :(
Has video games... bought a few already.. loves to draw, write, read, arts and crafts....
wants NOTHING LOL... any ideas?? please???

These aren't artsy.. but maybe will appeal to 8 year old boys in general?
Snaptricity electronics boards are fun.
I also got Robbie (who is 8) a looking telescope from Sharper Image, a remote control tumble car, a 'gross magic' kit, Bakugan things and a few Hexbugs (which are COOL). He's also a big fan of K'Nex.
Here are Amazon links.. but I'll tell you right now the Hexbugs and Looking Scope are cheaper elsewhere! I paid 7.99 for the hexbugs and 19.99 for the looking scope.

If he likes to read.. are you Christian? I ask because Max Lucado has some really nice kid books. My sons like to 'make' books at home so maybe a 'make your own book' kit? We use wall paper scraps on hard pieces of cardboard for the covers, some lined paper and a set of crayons and some markers and pens?
I'm assuming he already has an easel.. do you have a good set of paints and paintbrushes for him? My kids LOOOVE to use oil pastels too. Especially on dark paper.
Crayola also has some insanely cool products out now... glow dome, magic light brush, glow board, crayon maker??
The boys also love their regular science kits, the sour candy factory.. stuff like that. Those are huge hits with friends at home!
There are some cool looking art 'video' games.. like design stuff for kids. I think VTech has an art studio. Or those projector desks that they can trace. There are project kits at AC Moore.. popsicle crafts and stuff like that..

Had your son read diary of a wimpy kids books?? Nikolas loves those. I also picked him up a sketch pad. They also sell these 3D drawing kids...with the glasses and all at toys r us. I'm in the same position as you with your son. Picked him up a few DSi games and Wii games...got him some hoodies from Nike with pants. Scrabble because he is in scrabble after school. I figured we can play together.
Does he have an ipod...what about a gift card to purchase music or movies for it. Ipod doc. If I think of anything else I'll update. Hope that helps a little!!
How about those lego sets..they have all different kinds. MIners, spongebob, police etc...

My DS is 7 and loves to do any and all Legos. He's also into the Wimpy kid books that were already mentioned. There are 4 out there in the series already and a "do it yourself" book as well. My DS reads them over and over. He also likes to do orgami, clay stuff, disgusting science, anything building really.
