I highly recommend Dr Vaswani! He's my endocrinologist. I was going to him before I got pregnant, and he has carefully followed my thyroid levels every 6 weeks thru out my pregnancy, I am due in 3 days, and he made it a point to tell me he wants close follow up after delivery because I plan to breastfeed, and if your thyroid level is too low/too high, it affects you milk production. Call him tomorrow!!!!

I don't know where you are located, but I go to South Shore Diabetes & Endocrinology in Massapequa for my pre-existing diabetes.
I usually see the NP there who is just wonderful. She helped me get my diabetes under great control. Her name is Darlene Paduano. The head of the practice is Dr. Jeffrey Shiff so if you are interested, check for him in your insurance directory.
Good luck!

not sure what area you're in but dr. stuart weinerman at the pro health plaza in lake success is really great. he's also high up there on the north shore faculty practice and a very reputable endo.

I second him. I used to work for him years ago. Very kind and takes as much time as you need when meeting with him. With that being said, the wait can be a little long. I'd call your dr to call his office and mention that you're pregnant to be squeezed in.

Yes, I agree. Love dr. Vaswani. He has monitored me for both my pregnancies. I would tell them your prego and your OB wants you to be seen ASAP. They will squeeze you in!

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Rory Breidbart. He's in Great Neck and is wonderful. He has a ton of hours so I'm sure you could get something quickly.

Yes! I highly recommend Darlene! She is so great and helped me get my blood sugar under such great control that made it possible for me to have healthy pregnancies. DD #2 is due July 1. They are right on Broadway at the corner of Jerusalem Ave.
