Re: Recaro or Britax (gonna buy one with Tax return could use your advice)
I LOVE my Recaro. We were looking at the Britax Boulevard and the Recaro - and after a lot of research and we even took DD and tried her in both seats - we found that the recaro was the best fit for us. I wanted true side impact protection and there are very few on the market that do that - those are two off the top of my head. For us DD hated the britax - she looked uncomfortable in it - which surprised us since we thought that was what we would end up with.
The recaro has great padding, very comfortable and roomy. DD is very comfortable in it. I highly recommend ours but I honestly don't think you can chose wrong with either of them since both are great seats.
BTW BBB takes their 20% coupon on the recaro seat btw if that makes any difference in your decision. It didn't matter to us b.c my parents were buying the seat and they said that they didn't care either way. But I think britax are only 5% or nothing off.

Where did you see the Recaro in person.. i was at BBB today and they had none.
Seeing one in person would be a HUGE difference.
I also dont get BBB coupons.. how can i get one? Only know that I can use Bed Bath and Beyond current coupons at BBB.

Re: Recaro or Britax (gonna buy one with Tax return could use your advice)
They always have had one at Buy buy baby in fact I saw one there last weekend - they had one on the end - the second row from the snap n gos in the westbury store - on the shelves facing the britax seats.
You can use a bed bath & beyond coupon on it - non expired. To get on the mailing list I just asked to sign up when I was at the store when I had DD. I also signed up my grandmother and parents and MIL so that we all get them and they just give them to me.
Otherwise check their website I think there might be a link on there to sign up for their mailing list. The only catch with their list is that I think they have a marketing agency who does their coupons and they randomly select people to get the coupon - although we always seem to get them every time they come out.
BTW they will also accept BRU non expired non internet coupons if you want to try using one of those.
Etd to add I saw it at the westbury I haven't looked to see if they have them at the huntington store so I can't help you there.

I love my britax... we opted for the marathon (cow print of course) because it goes to a higher weight as an actual car seat

I can't comment on the Recaro (know nothing about them), but we have a Britax and are very happy with it! We have the Roundabout, which goes up to 40 lbs, and we are very happy with it - but had I known DD would be on the bigger side (95th percentile height/weight), I probably would have gone for the Marathon, which goes up to 65 lbs.

We have a Recaro and although it seems to be very safe and comfy, it is such a PITA to get DD in and out of it. Also, we have it in the middle of the back seat rear facing and i can hardly see out of my rear view mirror because its so tall.

Re: Recaro or Britax (gonna buy one with Tax return could use your advice)
we have a recaro and I'm happy with it. Definately big and sturdy with great side-impact. I will say that it is a little hard to lift your child up and over the side but you kind of get used to that. It is also a little difficult to see over it when looking in the rear view mirror because it's big.
the britax also come also recommended as you can see so you can't go wrong with that one either. Not sure how it is rated for side impact.
Good luck!
