Rec'd your favorite book for 4-5yr olds...
Im mystery reader for DS' class next week and Im looking for a new "fun" book...
Last year I read "Kiss Goodnight" and "Where the Wild Things Are"...
This month is dinosaur month...so they have read like every book that has anything to do with Dinosaurs... And they celebrated Dr Seuss' birthday by reading Dr Seuss books all this month...
Any suggestions???

Leonardo The Terrible Monster is a HUGE hit with kindergartners. And it has lots of opportunity to put in voices and expressions. Also - Knuffle Bunny, Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late and Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus.
Actually ANY Mo Willems book will do.
Have fun!
ETA: I'm a jerk and skipped over the "Dinosaur" caveat! "Edwina the Dinosaur" is super cute.

Not a dinosaur book. but has a dino element: Skippyjon Jones and the Big Bones. I highly recommend ANY of the Skippy books but this one would also work for dino month.
Sabrina LOVES Skippyjon Jones.

Re: Rec'd your favorite book for 4-5yr olds...
My mom just did a guest reader at DS's school and read "are you my mother' Eastman.
My mom has a lot of hats and she kept changing her hat with the book. She said the kids all got a big kick out of it.
