Receiving a letter from a school.

I received a letter from a school stating they got my resume but have no vacancies anticipated for september but if something should up they will hold my resume for a year.

Was I supposed to respond back or anything? I also apparently got this letter a month ago as I dont check my mail too often cuz it goes to an address of a family member.

Re: Receiving a letter from a school.

i always found that when i received that letter i never heard ANYTHING from them again.

i only got interviews from districts where i didn't receive the card.

that leaves me to believe that when you receive the card it's kind of like a "thanks but you won't be hearing from us again".

i hope i'm wrong, but after applying for several years to dozens of districts, that was the pattern i found. it's like a form letter.

best of luck to you!!

True but why would they waste a stamp?

Do not respond. It is a form letter.

Re: Receiving a letter from a school.

I got A LOT of those letters when I sent out my resume! I actually got one from a district and then a month later they called me for an interview and I got the job! I wish you all the best.
