Recipe Rave - Baked Eggs with Peas (& bacon but I left that out)
I saw this on the today show and I had to try it. No bacon for us (I couldn't find a nitrate free one , if that even exists) The lemon juice is a must - you can't omit it
Delicious!

Sounds delicious! Wonder if my kids would eat it. are the yolks really runny?

It was good? seems like an odd combination (the peas with the eggs)

I overcooked them because I am too nervous with the runny yolks, so ours weren't But when it's done, you mix everything up so the egg coats it so you do need it semi-runny (the recipe doesn't state that, but that's what he did on the show)
btw - does a nitrate free bacon exist?

I know, doesn't it seem odd? It was good! Katie didn't like it but she doesn't like anything these days so I take that with a grain of salt.
DS, DH and I loved it.

Actually, Applegate products have no nitrates. They make bacon. They have them in SS.

I was going to suggest Applegate also. I have seen it at TJ's, S&S and Shoprite.

I was going to suggest Applegate farms. I believe nitrates are added from natural sources such as celery.
