Re: Recomendations? Need part-time child care

I'm in Seaford and looking for the same thing. Here's what I've found so far:

Pre-School Places:

Wind N Willow in Massapequa - can take kids at 18 months for min of 2 days per week (Tues/Thurs). They have full day programs with extended hours.

Toddler Time in Seaford- can take kids at 15 months min of 2 days per week (Tues/Thurs). They have full day programs with extended hours. They are double the price of Wind N Willow.

Nannys:
I have been looking on care.com and linanny.com. Here nannies post ads and you can post an ad looking for one. Some can come to your house, others ask that you drop your child off at their house.

Stay-At-Home Moms
I found a lot of SAHM moms who are looking to earn some extra money and can take care of your child in their home. Go to craigslist and search under Long Island and then childcare and you will see all the ads. I found a couple in Massapequa.

In-Home Day Cares
Also on craigslist, I found in-home daycares.

I haven't met or spoken with anyone yet. I've had some communication via email with SAHM's and in-home day cares. I called both schools up and received information one and I'm still waiting for information from the other.

Hope this helps a little!

Karen

Re: Recomendations? Need part-time child care

How long are you looking for the help? I'm actually looking for part time/full time work and would for it to be in child care. The only problem is that I'm due July 2nd. After that, I was thinking of maybe getting into the day care business so I could technically be home with the baby too. FM if you'd like Chat Icon
