Part-Time Child Care...is it possible?
My parents have graciously offered to watch our baby two days a week. We haven't started looking at places yet, but I was wondering if any of you have your children in day care just part-time, and if the cost was reasonable.

In a center for an infant is usually not an option.
Maybe in a home based daycare.

We have a part-time nanny (3 days/week). Don't know about daycare centers, though.

Yes, it is possible, but difficult. YOu need to book many months in advance. Where are you? I know a couple of places in my area...Merrick.

Tutor Time does it. They are open right now for infants in Holbrook. FM me if you want - my sister is the asst. director.

When I went back to work I was looking at Day care centers, some Tutor times do accept PT but not all so you have to call all the ones in your area.
Same goes for some of the other bigger chains.

i found the same...luckily i found a place that took him one day (that was all we needed)

I'm not sure - some are franchise and some are owned by the corporation. You can go on their website - tutortime.com

my center does PT. DD was there 3 days in the summer and 4 days now. There are several other babies there that are also PT.
