Recommeding towns to buy in LI
right now, we are looking strictly in Queens area for houses b/c tax in LI is too high. anyone know of some areas with good school but lower taxes? DH is works in Great Neck and would like to keep communting time to a minimum.

the homes in Queens are more expensive even though the taxes are lower.
I live in Bethpage and love it. Even though I thinkall taxes on LI are insane, mine are about average.
Lov the town...it's about 20-25 minutes from Great Neck.
