Recommend a broadway shoe
DH and I want to plan a little getaway weekend for sometime later this winter into the city. We would like to stay overnight, see a show, see the sites, shop, etc! What show should we see? We've already seen Wicked. I'm thinking maybe Young Frankenstein. What else is really good right now?

We just went to the city on Tuesday and saw The Lion King. I loved it (also loved the movie). Went to tsee the tree, and stayed overnight. Then we went shopping the next day. It was a perfect 2 days in the city.

young frankenstein is closing soon, don't think it's supposed to be that good.
if you're able to score tickets to jersey boys or chicago, they are 2 of the best shows ever IMHO. i just saw lion king on friday... saw it 8 years ago as well... the costumes really are something amazing.

What type of show are you looking for?
Mary Poppins was AMAZING!!!!!!! Wicked was also great.
So many are closing though, so sad.
In the Heights is supposed to be terrific..cleared up at the Tonys but I havent seen it yet.

I LOVED Spamalot, which is closing soon. Rock of Ages I saw twice, awesome! I did see Young Frankenstein and DH and I really enjoyed it. Those were my faves.

I've now seen In the Heights three times and would go again in a flash if I could afford it. It's absolutely the best show I've seen in years (and I tend to see pretty much everything). I also LOVED South Pacific. You couldn't go wrong with either of those.

We really like Spamalot which is closing soon. Avenue Q is a riot. If you haven't seen Wicked, you must do so now, it is the best of all of the shows out right now. Chicago is also good. I want to see the South Pacific revival.

MB, we just went to see STOMP last weekend and LOVED it! It's not as expensive as a broadway show and it's easy to get really great seats! I highly recommend it!
