The best book I've read in a long time...possible a best ever read...Edward Rutherfurd's New York: A Novel . It's almost 1000 pages, but by far one of the best books I've ever read...Such rich history and characters. It's an epic novel. He has similar novels for Ireland and London too.

Another vote for The Hunger Games. I am almost done with the first in the trilogy and I am LOVING it. I am glad there are 2 more.
I also liked The Help, Water For Elephants, The Glass Castle and Room.

Ditto for all of these...
and for something more on the Romantic side (but definately NOT romance novel-esque)...anything by Julie Klassen... I've read 4 of her books and they're really great.
Just read Matched by Ally Conde too, that was good as well.

Yupp- 3 books, excellent series! The movie is coming out next March- I just hope it does the book justice!

Just a heads up- the next two books are very different from the first one. The last one especially. Not in a bad way- just different. I still enjoyed them and thought they were worth reading though.
