recommend Pediatrician near Huntington?
Hi 
At my next visit my OB wants the name of the pediatrician we will use when our baby is born in April.
We live in Northport and will deliver at Huntington Hospital. My OB gave us 2 names, which he recommends...
Kurfist, Lee A, MD
Johnston, Jean M, MD
Catalano, Lorraine E, MD
I'd like your opinion.
If your child/ren's pediatrician is in my area -
Why do you recommend this doctor?
Is there anything you dislike?
Is there a doctor you definitely WOULDN'T recommend?

It's not on your list, but we really like the drs at Huntington Medical Group on Pulaski. We use Dr. Cavanaugh and he is very calm and super flexible with vaccanations!

OMG i LOVE Dr. Conrad @ Northshore pediatrics on 25A in Huntington. i actually like most of the dr.'s there too. Dr. Tomei is great-VERY felxible with vaccinations, but Dr. Conrad is the nicest woman ever!

dont use dr kurfist. we used him for years. was charging us 20 copay for well visits and find out that we never had to pay. also a doctor in his practice screwed up with giving my son penicillian and he was severely sick for 72 hours. we switch to dr cavaghan about 2 months ago and its the best decision we made. they ahve sunday emergency hours and are open late during the week. good luck to you.

We use North Shore Pediatrics too - we go to Dr. Prusik or Dr Yland. Very very happy there

This docotr was recommended to me as well. a lot of people on this site use this group.
i have no info. on the docs you were referred to.
I use Huntington Village Pediatrics, right next to Town Hall in Huntington. I like all the docs there, but most often see Dr. Caravella. We really like him a lot. He knows his stuff!

btw, i love your name for your DD. you could do her room in a Peter Rabbit theme, (Beatrix Potter wrote all those books!)

We go here too. Dr. Cavanagh is my DD ped, and we like him. I have also spoken with Dr. Siev in this group and he's very good as well.

I use Dr. Yland and Dr. Tomei @ Northshore pediatrics on 25A in Huntington. They are flexible with vaccinations.

We go to the Huntington Medical Group and see Dr Siev. We have also seen Cavanaugh and 1 other Dr I can't think of at the moment. It's a great practice.

I use Dr. Kurfist. I see that a poster above was charged copays for well visits but I have never so I am assuming that was a billing issue.
He has been wonderful with my son. He is extremely flexible on vaccinations which I love.
I have only seen him, not the other 2 docs in his practice.
