Recommend your electric sweeper/light vacuum

I'm getting tired of using the Swiffer daily on my white tiles in the kitchen/dining room and then having to bend down to pick up the dirt with a dust buster.

I need a lightweight electric sweeper or very light vacuum that I can use daily for my ceramic tiles and hardwood floor. I also would like it to be powerful enough to use on the carpeted stairs.

I just bought the Shark Cordless Electric Sweeper b/c I heard good things about Shark, but I think I'm returning it. It's "turbo" speed didn't even pick up the crumbs on the carpet that were visible to me.

I'd like to spend less than $100.

TIA!

I have and LOVE the eureka 2 in 1. It has a brush for the crumbs in the vaccuum part, or you can turn the brush off for hardwood. It works great on the carpet for all the leaves and stuff that DH and the dog manage to track in, and I use it all the time for the crumbs in the kitchen dropped by the kids.

It also has a pop out dustbuster with a crevice attachment. It is the daily deal today on target.com. An extra 10% if you spend over $100 (you can always buy 2 and return 1 Chat Icon ). In addition, if you have AAA, you can link through them to target's site and save an additional 10%.

Free shipping.

Thanks! How's the battery life? The reviews on Target seem to be mixed - people either love it or hate it and say it doesn't pick anything up and has no battery? Aaaah....

I was actually shocked to see the bad reviews. I was thinking about getting an extra just to have when this one dies. Battery has not been a problem for me, but I will say that I don't leave it plugged in all the time. I only charge it when I notice it slowing down.

I also have one of those curve/cone things and the battery on that is HORRIBLE. That is plugged in all the time. I think if you charge it all the time, it develops a memory and will never fully charge if that makes sense.

I have had it for over a year and it's been great for me.

Re: Recommend your electric sweeper/light vacuum

I always post about mine, i'm cutting and pasting from a previous post...

I got this on woot last year (still love it a year later) and it's AWESOME. It's the shark euro pro multi-vac.

It's very light, sucks up anything (no brush so no hair getting tangled), has a turbo pet hair brush attachment (i use it on my sofa where the cat lays all the time, it's amazing), goes flat while vaccuming so you con't have to bend over, can be used as a canister vac or stick vac. And it plugs in so no charging or running out of power.

I use it every night to clean up DD's mess from dinner. It's normally $140 but amazon actually has it for $47 today when I just looked and free shipping!
