Can anyone recommend a light weight down comforter?
I'm in the market for a new one. the one I have now has lost a lot of it's down stuffing. it's really old - time for a new one.
I'm specifically looking for summer weight.
thanks!

The Company Store has a few different weights and great quality IMO. You should check out their website.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I have a heavy one from them and LOVE how soft and cuddly it is.
For the summer months I have a lighter one I got on black friday from Macys for like $40. It does the job, but someday I want to get a lighter one from TCS

I also came on to recommend the Company store. They have all kinds of weights andyou can read up about which one tht would be perfect for you. They have all different colors too. We got a colored one and I don't even use a comforter cover anymore. And it's machine washable (not all are so you have to check the details)

Re: Can anyone recommend a light weight down comforter?
ok now I am really curious - what is so great about "The Company Store"? do they have really high quality items? the prices seem decent... not sure how I feel about purchasing bedding online.
I like to feel the fabrics for softness and quality. unless I was familiar w/the brand.

I bought one at Fortunoff not too long ago that's not down but a synthetic that feels like down and is very light. The comforter is so nice and cuddly yet not too heavy. It's outer casing is cotton.

Yes the quality is very good. I have quilts for all my kids from them too and they are great. We also have a coverlet & shams as well as some kids PJs and everything washes so nice.
ETA: The stuff is so soft, none of that crinkly stiff feel you get from some cheaper quality stuff. It's the only place I will buy bedding now. (other than sheets)

I was just at Fortunoff and they still have comforters at their going out of business sale.
Also, IKEA has some really nice white down comforters for decent prices. You can put whatever duvet cover on them that you like, or just use it white.
