recommend your favorite Wii games
DH just got Wii for Christmas, and as much as I opposed it, turns out, I love it!! I'm not a "gamer" at all and hate shooting/fighting games, but I really enjoy Wii sports & Zelda Twilight Princess for the puzzles. We're waiting on Wii play (ordered the bundle with a second controller) & I'm looking for other good games for me. I don't really care for Mario Galaxy (the perspective is so weird) but I'm still practicing with it.
Please recommend your favorite Wii games. We're going to rent some from Blockbuster for an exciting NYE since we couldn't get a babysitter!

We just got Smarty Pants. It's a trivia game. I like it. Big Brain Academy is fun too.
That's all I've played so far.
DH has been playing Elebits but that's a shooting game.

guitar hero is amazing - i got it for FH for christmas and i already beat it on easy!!!
rayman raving rabbits is a GREAT game if you arent a "gamer" it is basically a million mini games that use the wii remote in every possible way. . . you have to beat a certain number of mini games to get to the next level - some of them are silly and some are harder
a few examples:
shearing a sheep
throwing a cow
there are these bunnies going to the potty and you have to throw plungers at the doors to make sure they stay shut
there is a dancing game that you have to keep the beat to
racing on a warthog
i cant even describe all of them but it is SO MUCH FUN!

Annie, You said you like Zelda for the puzzles. Is it still like the older Zeldas or just puzzle games. I loved Zelda way back when it was on Nintendo.

My niece and nephew has the Bowling- my favorite, baseball, tennis- ok I like all of the sport ones.

I am not a gamer at all, and I really enjoy these games.
DH says that you should keep practicing with Mario Galaxy, and that you are part of Nintendo's new target demographic (I'm married to a Nintendo junkie - the Wii seems to dominate our life.)

ooh! great recommendations! thanks ladies!
i definitely want to try the rabbit game & i would probably love smarty pants & big brain academy. i'm checking out the reviews & game descriptions on line.
i'll stick with mario- it gets such great reviews, but i don't really get it.
the 3-d aspect on the plants is so confusing.
zelda is fantastic! so much like the old zelda, but better! same perspective, you walk through different areas on the map, beat a few bad guys, different creatures give you hints on where to go, i love it! plus, with all the info available on the internet to guide you, it makes it so much better. i sit on the laptop and DH plays & vice versa. we have it rented from blockbuster for a few days.
anyone play the ocean game? seems more relaxing than game-like.

some games were already said, but i also love trauma center! we also picked up Cranium kabookie, but haven't played it yet b/c you need at least 4 players. My nephew told me last night that carnival games is really fun, too. He's only 7, but he's smart for his age, so it might be worth checking out

We are also on board with Guitar Hero III. We have the addiction going on here too.
I also like Big Brain Academy and Wii Sports Bowling.

DH has bought too many but he is playing Mario Galaxy - right now actually!
I totally enjoy Trauma Center: New Blood
You are a doctor and have to perform surgeries...its soo cool!!! It has an ER esque storyline but I love doing the stitches and surgeries but not really hurting anyone!
