Re: Recommend your lactation consultant
I love Dr. Rubin (she is actually a pediatrician & lactation consultant), so I a pretty sure insurance covers it. Otherwise, I know I paid $250 for my first consult..and my insurance did not cover it.
OH..she is in Mineola - Happy and Healthy Ped's.

Re: Recommend your lactation consultant
I can't remember who I called- but she was rec'd by pharmcat2000 and she was wonderful!
I do believe she takes certain insurances- but TBH she was able to help me over the phone for free both times!!!
1st time- I had lost my supply and she was able to "put me on a schedule" and help me rebuild it...
2nd- Mastitis and although the Dr took care of it mostly... she rec'd some cream that was a GOD SEND... as well as rec'd some different meds and such...
She even called to follow up, and make sure I was ok...

she is my ped and i ask her a million questions about BFing, and she is great. love her as a ped and as an LC. since she's my ped i don't pay anything, just ask a ton of questions while i'm at the office.
