I found this one to be the most helpful too (by Gladis something). I actually hated What to Expect When You're Expecting

Re: recommend your most helpful baby books

I had a few books, but really it was just easier to google questions and read pregnancy websites.

FH liked "my boys can swim". I got another one for him also, but can't remember the name, and i don't think he liked it as much.

the one "must have" book for me was Baby Bargains. It's not about pregnancy, but I found it soooo helpful when making purchases.

I really like this one as well. I got a bit baby booked out, but this one each chapter is short so it does not get boring.

I also like Baby Bargains, I bought but have not read Dr. Sears Vaccine book (but I plan on spreading out the vaccines) and The Baby Book by William and Martha Sears.

I need to buy a book about sleeping and such for when the baby arrives, so i would love suggestions on those.

The baby bargains book...is that better to get before I register?

Yes. It would defeat the purpose to buy it after you register.

I am not registering for another few weeks but I bought it early because I am book junkie and read non-stop. I also wanted to compare the items I like to the ones that Baby Bargains recommends and then compare those to on-line reviews.

So it depends on the type of person you are. I would not buy it RIGHT before you register, give yourself a couple of weeks to go through the book and the items.

I think you'd be fine if you bought Baby Bargains now - they only update the book once a year I believe but, they have updates available on their website.

I also liked Your Pregnancy Week by Week.

I saw a pp say she used Google. I tried that method but, I found that it made me completely and totally crazy so I don't do it anymore. I found a lot of useful info on here and on babycenter.com.

I got both of these books from my friend and I agree. I liked your pregnancy week by week the best and hated what to expect when you're expecting.
