Recommend your organic cleaning products

Making the switch. Last week I was using a product to clean my bathroom and could hardly breathe, it was that bad.

And also do they really clean well? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Chat Icon

I have been using them for 18 months. Drugstore.com has a HUGE selection.

I use mainly Seventh Generation and Mrs. Meyers. I do use the Method wood polish.

Re: Recommend your organic cleaning products

I use method. I don't love the wood or leather cleaners but I like most everything else.

I've also used Seventh Generation.

Method...yes I got some stuff from Target. I got the counter cleaner, tub/tile cleaner and the dish liquid. So far so good. I haven't tried the tub/tile cleaner yet.

Do you guys feel like they clean and disinfect just as good as the other stuff? I grew up with soft scrub, comet and bleach spray.

I use Method also.

These Shaklee products were featured on Oprah's favorite things - they say they're "eco friendly": Shaklee

ecover has an earth-friendly soft-scrub like product that is phenomenal. I use it to scrub the bottoms of my pots. It works better than regular softscrubChat Icon

Re: Recommend your organic cleaning products

For our kitchen and bathroom we use good ole vinegar and water - 1 part vinegar to 3-4 parts water, depending on how strong you want it.

Works really well and you can get a HUGE container of vinegar for nothing!

it's CHEAPO ECO!

i like the cucumber all purpose cleaner, but it def requires more elbow grease. but its a small price to pay, and defintely a better trade off- give up the chemincals, get some muscles.

I actually feel like the products I use work even better. I use Mrs. Meyers Soft Scrub and it works great.

Check out drugstore.com because they carry all different lines and the reviews are very very helpfulChat Icon

I love Begley's Best, but I think it has more to do with my crush on Ed Begley Jr.

We also use Mrs. Meyers, Seventh Gen or whatever we see that suits our needs. We don't clean much though (Chat Icon ).

Re: Recommend your organic cleaning products

Seventh Generation. Although I think they clean just as well, Kelly and a few others recommended using Borax along with their dishwashing soap.

I don't use that one yet but the others I've used work pretty well for us.

Re: Recommend your organic cleaning products

I think the most popular brands are method, 7th generation and Mrs. Meyers. I use them all. However, you can really make your own cleaning products with baking soda, lemon juice and other household items. I am sure there are "recipes" online.
