recommend your sling carrier
I'm looking to get a sling carrier for baby #2 and there seems to be so many different kinds out there. Which one would you recommend? Ring sling? Hotslings (stretchy or not?)? Peanut shell? Thanks!

Re: recommend your sling carrier
I think I have tried every sling out there. For the newborn-3 month stage I loved my hotsling. I did not have the stretchy one. Its super easy to just stick the baby in it and my dd always fell asleep in it. As she got bigger the only one I really liked was the Moby D. But I only had one child. It has a lot of fabric and might be a pain to wrap when chasing after another LO. I did not like the ring slings at all but I am not the most coordinated person. I could never get them on securely.

Loved my hotsling . . . but now that ds is 6 months and getting heavier, its not great. But for newborns... its very easy to use and ds loved being in it

Re: recommend your sling carrier
i like my hotsling. it was helpful when DD was small and i needed my hands free to take care of my older child. she's 6 months now and i need to refer to the instructions again for the hip carry because i don't think i'm doing it right. i actually tried my 2 year old in the hip carry when i first got it, but he's too heavy to carry around! i keep it in my diaper bag at all times because it folds up so small. it's nice to have in there.
i also have the ultimate baby wrap that is comfortable, but it's a PITA to put on because it has so much fabric.
eta: the hotsling was great when DD was in that newborn i need to be held 24 hours a day phase. she was able sleep in there and i could still do things with my DS.
