Calphalon. Expensive, but worth it. They last forever.

Not sure of price, but Macy's brand Tools of the trade, I have the original ones without the non stick coating for years and love them.

I also have a Macy's Tools of the Trade set (I think it was called Belgique). It was a gfit at my shower. There was a plain set and copper bottom set, which is what we have. I absolutely LOVE this set!

Re: recomment your pot set...

For non stick, I am not sure of the brand but they now make 'green' pans that the non stick will never come off. I am thinking of picking up a set for myself.

For stainless my favorite is Emerils. We have it for 5 years now. It's made by All clad. I think it was 199 for the set.

Not yet...and I USE my pots. The frying pan doesn't look new anymore but no chipping. Very easy to clean.

I think its a very good set (the right size peices for the job).

Agreed, love mine. Make sure you never use metal utensils in them and wash them w/a soft rag. They have recommendations for care in the instructions.

Re: recomment your pot set...

Calphalon makes an economical set called SIMPLY Calphalon... I believe it was 399 and the quality on it is really just as nice as their more expensive sets - we absolutely love our set.

Oh and we used a 20% off coupon btw!

Re: recomment your pot set...

If you do go for teh Calphalon ONE set you need to remember that it is NOT a non-stick set. It is LOW stick. It's great - but not completely non-stick.

I'm not really a fan of non-stick though.

Emerilware by All Clad.

I have no issues with it except the pots are pretty heavy.
