Red skin bumps (keratosis pilaris)
Anyone have this? If so, what have you tried that worked? I have had it for years and years and nothing ever works. A colleague just brought up KP Doctor from Ulta and another said KP Elements. I have no clue, but I'm tired of always having crappy skin. The dermatologist I saw didn't do much for it either. If you used a prescription, I would love to hear about that too.

Lac-Hydrin lotion used to be prescription is now over the counter. You can find it at cvs or amLactin lotion. Both work great for kp!

Re: Red skin bumps (keratosis pilaris)
I have this and nothing has worked I actually cover mine up with Dermablend in the summer, as the sun irritates it. I went to a derm who gave me two different scripts but they only peeled away some dead layers, but the red bumps are still there.
I inquired about laser and my derm would only do it as a last resort. He told me to use the creams and maybe like 1 or 2 sessions of microdermabrasion. He also mentioned that I might have to do follow up sessions every 2 year or so depending on my comfort level.
I haven't gone for micro yet, maybe I'll try the cream the pp recommended.
Thanks!

exfoliate and use this daily for a while and see how it works!

Re: Red skin bumps (keratosis pilaris)
I have KP, but I found that using 2 Lush products have really improved it: I exfoliate twice a week with the Buffy bar (after showering I just rub the dry bar all over my arms and then rinse off my arms in the sink). I also moisturize daily after showering with the Dream Cream. This locks in moisture and my arms feel soft even the next day.

Lotion and gentle exfoliation. For me, the bumps disappear and the redness just really lightens.

Re: Red skin bumps (keratosis pilaris)
I have it horrible I use a sugar scrub and shave my arms. Gross for some I know, but it helps. I then use extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil as a lotion. The next day after my shower I do Hydrocordozone 1% and after every shower unless I exfoliate then I do the coconut oil. I exfoliate 2x a week and shave 1x a week. It's not perfect, but it really really helps!

Re: Red skin bumps (keratosis pilaris)
KP Doctor moisturizer worked really well for me as long as I used it somewhat regularly. I stopped using it and the bumps didn't completely come back, but did show up a tiny bit. Overall I was pretty happy with the product and the effect it had

Re: Red skin bumps (keratosis pilaris)
I have it bad on my arms, it comes and goes on my legs. I stopped bothering to treat it because nothing seemed to work.
