reflux/zantac question
my daughter was diagnosed with reflux and started zantac yesterday, she was wonderful all day today. no crying, no spitting up or gagging, took a ton of naps. but tonight has been crying in pain, spit up once and uncomfortable when eating. does it take time to work or is the zantac not working. i hate seeing her in pain. she is only one month old. thank you for your help

Yes, it takes a while for it to work. My doctor told us to give it 4 weeks to take full effect.

It took at least a week for the meds with my girls to see some kind of improvement.

It does sometimes take a while. We started with Zantac, but it actually made DD worse somehow  We then switched her to Axid and it made a world of difference.

It takes awhile to work. You can also give her Mylicon with her feedings it helps alot

My DD's GI doctor always tells me to give zantac 20 minutes before feedings.
