Regarding the book Taking Charge...
of your Fertility, she says to count your Day 1 as real bleeding, not spotting. On the First Response OPK, it says count Day 1 as spotting or bleeding....I'm confused. My first day and a half at least are spotting/brown flow. What would you do???

I'm a little confused but are you talking about your period? I really can't help you much as I generally bled heavily the whole time.
I would not worry too much and simply determine your average cycle length in general and work from there, try the OPKs and then RELAX.

I have always counted the first day of real bleeding as cycle day one.

I would count the actual bleeding as day 1

I wouldnt use any slight spotting, brown spotting as day 1.
She goes on to say in the book how brown spotting is actually leftover from LAST cycle...and not current.
Also I saw an RE...and they always told me to count day 1 as full bleeding or VERY heavy spotting.

I know when I went to schedule my HSG test they told me day one of my cycle is considered red/heavier bleeding so I would count day one as the heavier bleeding not spotting.
